Vision of the Department

To strive in pursuit of excellence in imparting knowledge with skill in Mechanical Engineering at diploma level to improve the opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and higher learning.

Mission of the Department

M1: Use of technology enhanced tools and techniques by motivated and qualified faculty for enhancement of knowledge, understanding of principles, concepts and latest trends in mechanical engineering.

M2: Conduct of laboratories, guest lectures, industrial visits and industrial training for better understanding of critical concepts in Mechanical Engineering.

M3: Provide opportunities for developing multidisciplinary skills, communication skills, professional attitude and ethics to serve the society in better way.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO 1: To impart knowledge for professional practice in mechanical engineering for employment, higher studies and to become entrepreneur.

PEO 2: To provide technical skills and resources to design, analyse and create innovative solutions for engineering problems in multidisciplinary work environment.

PEO 3: To inculcate leadership qualities, ethical attitude and competence to excel individually and work with teams.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

PSO 1: Ability to employ in fields of engineering such as design, testing, manufacturing, processing, safety, quality control, and other business sectors.

PSO 2: Ability to progress through advanced degree or certificate programs or participates in continuing education in engineering, business, and/or other professionally related fields.

PSO 3: Achieve positions of increased responsibility within the organizations.

The Mechanical Engineering Program was started in the year 2009 with a sanctioned intake of 60 students at the Diploma level. The faculty of Mechanical Engineering Program is well-qualified, dynamic, and experienced. The department is having well-equipped laboratories with a strong backup of qualified staff to support the laboratory work. The department has a good academic culture and a conducive working environment for teaching learning and development. The department has adequate infrastructure to achieve academic excellence and therefore it is consistently achieving good academic results. This program seeks to produce competent mechanical diploma engineers who can apply the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. The program will provide tremendous opportunities to mechanical professionals in the technology-driven world to create innovative solutions.
