Government Polytechnic, Amadalavalasa Library was established in the year 2009. The objective of the library is to provide a wide range of reference materials to improve the knowledge and thought process of the academic fraternity and students. The library is located on the first floor of the administrative block of the institution. The open timings of library from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm on all working days. It has a good collection of textbooks and e-resources for the benefit of students and faculty members. It has a unique collection of 1861 books covering all the important areas of engineering such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, various General subjects, and reference books.  Presently, the library uses MIS Library module software, provided by the Department of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh. At present, the technical processing of books has been completed and the circulation of books is being done with this software.

Every year library procures required textbooks and other reading materials. The procurement policy of the library for various reading materials, such as textbooks, reference books, journals, magazines, and newspapers are in accordance with the recommendations of the library committee. In addition, the digital library provides six computers where students can access all kinds of useful e-content from the Internet.
